happy 4 month birthday to my sweet baby boy

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all have a great weekend - we are going to be taking it easy and enjoy this lovely weather while it lasts. Today Bo has been with us 4 whole months. I am not sure where the time has gone but I know it has gone fast. We have had another great week and thankful it is Friday. We have woke up to sunshine two days in a row and that is remarkable. Nana and Dub got Bo an exersaucer and he is in heaven with this thing. I can only imagine how much he is going to like it when he figure it out. Standing up is his new thing so the exersauce is perfect for him. The process of assembling was quite a task but thank good ness for our friends Steve he saved the day. Bo is still fighting this runny nose and sneezing, poor guy seems to have some allergy issues. We are hoping the sun will hold through tomorrow so we can go see what is happening at the farmers market in the am. That is mine and Bo's favorite thing to do on Saturday morning. Nothing like some fresh flowers and produce for the week ahead.

Bo's First Easter

Bo's first Easter was a hit! We had a great holiday weekend despite all the stormy weather. We did some shopping, dyed some eggs and did a lot of hanging out with Bo. We went to a wonderful church service with our great friends Roger and Kathy aka Rocko and Kiki! Bo got some wonderful Easter surprises from all of his loving family. It was great to have Dub and Nana here to spend the weekend with us here in Fayetteville. I know next year Bo will be everywhere looking for all the eggs he can fit in his basket. We are back to our normal routine today and looking forward to a wonderful week ahead.

Easter Weekend

We are enjoying a very rainy, stormy weekend with Dub and Nana. Not been much going on other than trying not to get blowed away. Mr. Bo is keeping everyone entertained as we sit and look at him for days on end. Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend.

Time is not on my side

I am not sure where the time goes but I wish I could find a little extra. Bo is doing great and starting to really change a lot the last couple of weeks. He is really starting to have his little own personality. He must have been trying to get his bluff in at school. The said yesterday was the first time he ever smiled at them. He is laughing and starting to make like an airplane sound starting yesterday. He is really growing and changing with every passing day. We had a great visit with Mimi this past weekend and our looking forward to seeing Nana and Dub tomorrow afternoon. Daycare is closed on Friday so they are going to keep him for us. There is no telling what they will get into before we get home from work. I am glad that it is hump day and hoping the rest of the week will go by quickly. Have a fabulous day!

Yay for Friday

One hour to go and it will be two days at home with my sweet family for two days. I was hoping mom would be here when we got home but looks like that is not going to happen. I am not sure what we will be doing this weekend other than playing with Bo and visiting with mom. The weather here is chilly so doesn't look like we will be able to spend much time outside. Bo went to the doctor today and Bo is up to a whopping 16.25 lbs. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Here we go again

We made it through another Monday and Tuesday...thank goodness :) It is a beautiful day here today and can't wait to get off to enjoy it this afternoon. Bo is doing great with school and seems to be really transitioning well to the new changes in our life. We are looking forward to Mimi coming to visit us this weekend. We are not sure about calling mom Mimi so any suggestions for a name will be greatly appreciated. Buddy says just call her Sharon or Mama Sharon but that is not very grandmother like I don't think. I am sure he will call her whatever he wants to if we just give it some time. It has been very busy around work trying to play catch up and still get the regular stuff done too! I hope everyone is having a great week so far and enjoy this sunshine :)

TGIF

We made it through the first week of work and daycare. I am very suprised on how fast it went by but I am not complaining. I have had a lot of catching up to do at work which has helped the days past quickly. Bo got a good report everyday that he was happy and content all day. All the girls that work with him are very sweet and helpful which is a relief to me. We are looking forward to having the weekend to spend at home together and trying not to think about Monday until it gets here. We are going to try to get some work done in the yard this weekend and enjoy some the pretty sunshine.  Have a great weekend :)

Not enough time in the day!

Big changes have happened around the Westmoreland house this week. This adjustment back to work and stuff is a bit tougher than I ever imagined. The few hours in the afternoon after work is just not enough time to get everything done that has to get done before we leave again in the morning. This week has gone by very fast so far and I am hoping it will continue to do so. I have always looked forward to the weekends but I really am now. I can't wait to spend some time with Bo other than feeding him and putting him to bed. He seems to be adjusting well to being in a new place and with new people. They are doing everything he like I guess feeding him, letting him swing and laying him down for naps. Sorry, I haven't posted any new pictures in a couple of days, I am having some problems getting the pictures off of my camera.

Back to Reality

The first day for me and Bo has come and gone...thank goodness! It was tough to hand him over to them at the daycare center but we made it and that is what counts. They said that Bo had the perfect first day so that made us feel really good. I was in fear that he would cry all day because he was in a strange place. Day two was a lot easier than day one to drop Bo off. Everyone says it will get easier everyday. My first day back to work was a success too. I have to say it does feel good to be back in the routine of things but I am sure that will wear off soon. It is going to take me a few days to get back into the swing of things around here. I have so much to do that I don't know where to start and I am thinking that is a good thing right now. Hope everyone has a great week.

Last Day

Today is my official last day off from work with Bo. I never thought that 3 months could go by so fast. This has been the best 3 months of my life so far without a doubt. It is amazing to look back now and see how we have ALL grown and changed in so many ways. I never really thought I wanted to be a mom but I am so glad that I changed my mind. I never knew something so small could bring so much joy to our lives. I am speaking for Buddy and I when I say this is the best decision we ever made to bring this bundle of joy into the world. As I sit here now and watch him sleep it brings a tear  to my eye to think that he is ours and that he always will be. Wednesday I took Bo to daycare so we could check things out and meet his teachers. It was by far the toughest thing I have ever done and I did not even leave him in the building alone. I know that he will be great for him (or everyone says it will be) and learn a lot as time goes by but I don't know how I am going ot manage being away from him and in the hands of strangers. The center he will go to is supposed to be one of the best in our area so that does make us feel better about someone else taking care of him.

On a different note, Mr. Bo got his first taste of big boy food last night. He ate his first bowl and yes he ate the whole bowl of rice cereal. He seemes to really enjoy and did not hesitate to eat it at all. It did not seem to help him sleep longer but I know as time goes on he will keep more predictable with his sleeping habits. I

We are going to enjoy every second of the next few days with Bo and try not to think about Monday. It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend and we are going to take full advantage. Hope everyone has a great weekend and we will fill you in on our status next week.
