A Little Dab Will Do Ya!

First, I hope that everyone had a happy turkey day! Second, I do love my family and friends very much. Third, do not take the following information the wrong way.

I am not really sure where the past 10 days went. I do know that it was a crazy whirlwind of family, friends, sickness and traveling. We finally made it back to Fayetteville this morning. This trip started with sickness and ended on the same note. I think everyone we came into contact with has had some type of tragedy since we have seen them. I can only hope that Christmas will be a bit smoother. I never thought I would say it but it feels good to be back at work.

Bo was able to play with several of his cousins on both sides of the family. I wish I would have taken more pictures but as always I got side tracked. It is funny how they play all by themselves even when there are other kids the same size to interact with. I loved watching them all do their own thing as they sit side by side.

We did enjoy our time with everyone but it will be a Thanksgiving for the record books. I am kind of glad that Bo will not be able to remember his first one in a way. He had a great time but he was beat by the end of our trip. We think Bo is trying to cut some teeth so he is a bit cranky from the discomfort. I think he will be in better spirits once he gets back on his normal schedule. I bet he was thinking this is the longest ride ever to daycare this morning. We were not able to leave until this morning because Buddy has been down with the stomach virus a few days. I am shooting for unpacking tonight and putting the suitcases far out of sight for a few weeks. I am excited the three of us will be in the comforts of our own home tonight. There is a lot to be said about being at home. I know I sound like I couldn't get away from eastern Arkansas fast enough but it was time to head back west for a while.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Ready for Thanksgiving

I can't believe that the holiday season has snuck up on us so fast. We are in the process of packing for the trip home for Thanksgiving, thinking about Christmas gifts and figuring out what we are going to do for Bo's birthday. I have tried to narrow it down to just Thanksgiving but that is not working out so well. Not to much other than that going on around our house. Bo is everywhere and into everything but I think everyone already knew that was going on. He is starting to get into big boy toys. He like pushing things around these days. He is also trying to figure out how to throw/roll balls to you. He knows the motion but has not figured out to let it go. So right now when you roll him the ball he hands it back to you. He is making some new sounds and saying the old ones a lot more these days. He has learned how to click his tongue this week too. It seems like everyday he has picked up a new trick.

Love his bath time.

Dad and Bo camped out in living room for the night.

This is from a few weeks back. I forgot to share it then.
Do you think he fights naps?

Who's idea was it for the time to change?

Sorry, I have not been able to post in a while. My mom was here last weekend to keep Bo while we spent the weekend doing some things with friends. Since the time change we have been dealing with a child that has been waking up anywhere between 4 and 5 am. We have been tired, cranky and just hoping that things get back to something more normal soon. We had finally got used to getting up at 5:30 and then boom...time changed. I just told my friend Jennibette today that if I could find that person I would punch them in the nose. I have never understood the time change and I really don't now that I have a child. But we will get past or maybe acclimated to this new change soon. Bo is keeping us on our toes the past couple of weeks. He has the crawling, pulling up and cruising down to a science. He is everywhere and into everything and I mean everything. We are in the process of changing over from baby food to more solid foods this week. Baby food is so easy but he loves the "real" food much better. All in all we are doing good and looking forward to a great weekend.

Catching up

Bo made it through his first Halloween. He got to handout some candy and see all the kiddo's dressed up. He is really  nosey about things so I know he loved all the action. I was unable to be home for Halloween due to a work trip but from what I heard Bo and Buddy had a great time. Not to much happening for us right now. We are getting excited about the holidays coming up. Bo and I will be at home for a week around Thanksgiving so we are trying to get ready for that trip. I am ready to see family, friend, eat some good food and of course watch some football. It is going to be starting a new chapter this year since we will be sharing these special times with Bo. I know that holidays now will have a whole new meaning to our families. I can't wait to start new traditions and makes lots of great memories. I am thankful for such a great life that we live and so many special people to share it with. Have a great Thursday!
