Far Behind

I don't know what has happened but I am so far behind. We have been going a million miles a minute around here lately. Bo is walking more which means we are trying to keep him out of things. He is really starting to make a lot of new sounds too. He has 8 teeth now and is starting to learn how to use them (good and bad). He finally has enough hair for me to brush it and enough for him to mess it right back up. He has developed a small attitude in the last week. Right now everything must go his way or he completely loses all control. It amazes me how fast he can get himself mad at everyone and everything around him. He is sleeping better but not  much later. He is sleeping from about 7:30 to 5ish but I have to say that this morning he slept until 5:53. I will take an extra 30 minutes or so anytime I can get it.

Love me some carrots

Rocking Alvin

Broccoli...yummy!

Lucky Charms, of course he picked
out the marshmallows and left cereal.

Headed to school

And he is off....

Bo took his first steps last night. It didn't take him long to get going after he figured what he was doing. It is amazing to see him move around on those chubby little legs. This morning when we got to school that was the first thing he had to do...show off! He is so proud of himself and we are proud of him too. I think we can officially say that Bo is a toddler now.

Back to normal

Not much happening around our house this weekend. We have been to get groceries, ate lunch and now just watching some TV and playing with the toys. The weather has been beautiful the last few days but I am sure it has been the same for everyone. This time last year we had a over a foot of snow on the ground and yesterday it was 68 degrees. I have been slacking on the picture taking but I am going to get back in the habit as of today.

Bo had his one year checkup this past week. He weighed in at 24.25 lbs (75th percentile) and is 30 inches tall (60th percentile). He got four shots but he took them like a champ. They didn't seem to bother him this time which was great. The doctor said he was doing great and right on track with all his development. We are in the process of trying to switch over to whole milk (i think it is more of an issue for me than him). We keep waiting on him to let go and take off walking anytime now. He is making a lot more sounds and sounds like he is talking to you in a foreign language.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend. Here are a few pics from the past week or so. ENJOY!

One year ago today

Today's marks one year since I first posted on the blog. I have to say thanks to Kaye Lehman for mentioning it to me because it has been so much fun. I love being able to look back and see and read just how far we have come in the past year. I really never thought that I would make it as a "blogger". Thanks for everyone that pushes me to post when I get so far behind and think I have no time to do anything. I hope everyone has enjoyed keeping up with us and I am sure the next year is going to bring even more surprises. Bo has changed our life for sure and he continues to amaze us everyday and sometimes many times in a day.

Bo has his one year check up this afternoon. I am excited to see where he is now on the charts. He has to get a few shots so please be thinking of him. Hopefully they will not bother him to bad this time.

Have a great day!

Where did my baby go?

Bo's first birthday has come and gone but not without a lot of celebrating. Yesterday was the big day and it was a day of mixed emotions for me. The last year has been a rollercoaster to say the least. We have had shared a lot of laughs and also a lot of tears. This time last year we were locked in a bathroom at the hospital with a one day old baby because of a tornado and this morning he was moving through this house like a tornado. He leaves a trail of "stuff" everywhere he goes. He is a busy little guy with a lot on his mind at all times. He is has been such a joy and a blessing to us and all our family. This has been a great year and I am very nervous but excited about the next 12 months.

December 29, 2011

Bo loved, loved, loved the birthday cake. I think of we wouldn't have taken it away he would have devoured the entire thing. I think he had a bit to much sugar because he chose to stay up pretty much the entire night. But oh well, we only live once...right? He had a big turnout of family and friends for the big day. I bet he was thinking what are all these people doing just staring at me. But once he got into that cake he didn't mind have a care in the world.

He had party number two yesterday with his pals at school. It was so much fun to see them all sitting together eating their individual cupcakes. I think Bo ate his and part of any others within his reach. We went easy on the icing for round two so no worries of sugar highs (sleepess nights).

More pictures to come.....
