Happy Six Month Birthday

Yesterday marked the the sixth month birthday of our sweet baby boy. It has been a really big week for him so far. He is sleeping in his bed like a big boy and that is still going great. We decided to give him his first baby food for a special treat on his birthday. We chose to give him sweet potatoes first since that is something that we really like ourselves. He seemed to really like them but didn't get as excited as I was expecting him to be. I had it in my mind that he would demolish a whole jar but that was not the case. He ate about 3 or 4 tablespoons and started pushing the spoon away. Melissa and Steve were over so she was able to get some really good pictures for us. It was fun to have them there to see him have his first "real" food. I think I am going to go get him some sweet potatoes tonight and make the food myself. That baby food didn't taste to much like sweet potatoes to me. I can't wait to see how he reacts to different foods.

Big Step

I have been out of town since Sunday so Buddy has been home with Bo. We have been talking for months about putting Bo in his room to sleep. Talking is really as far as it has ever gone until Sunday night. Buddy decided to try it out the past two nights and he has really made the transition smoothly so far. I know it will be great for all of us to have our own space. I know it will be an adustment getting used to him not being in his bed beside us at night. That is his peace bear  in the bed with him that his Dub gave him the day he was born. Maybe it is really working its magic keeping him at peace in the night.

Another weekend has come and gone. We had a great visit with Granny and Bubby. We were so busy that I forgot to take any pictures. I have to get better at remember get more pictures. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Just another week

Not to much happening around here with us this week. We have just been hanging around at home doing things. Hope everyone is having a great week.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my dad, grandfather, father-in-law and last but not least my wonderful husband Buddy. I wish we were able to spend it with each and every one of you. We have had a great weekend despite this terrible heat. We started the day with some donuts from our favorite place and ended it with a fabulous boston butt that Buddy cooked today. I do believe that Buddy's first father's day was a success.

Little Swimmer

It is looking like Bo is going to like to swim and play in the water. We bought him a little baby pool for home and he loves to play and splash the water around. Yesterday afternoon we took him over to our friend Julie's to swim in her pool. He really was not sure at first but once he got settled in he was ready to go. Now that he is sitting up he is more interested in things than he has been in the past. I know he has to have a new perspective on things seeing it from a different level. He is so much fun and I look forward to seeing what he has figured out from day to day. Babies are very smart and it is amazing how fast they pick up on things. Happy Hump Day to everyone!

Sunday Funday!

Great to be home

It was a wonderful feeling to pull in the driveway yesterday. I am so glad to be back home with my two favorite fellas! They seem to have made it just fine and if not they are keeping it top secret. I know that they had a lot of fun and enjoyed their boy time together. Bo is really becoming a pro at sitting up over the past couple of days. Roco and Kiki are coming to see Bo for a few hours tonight to give us a little bit of big people time. We are so fortunate to have them here to help us out when we need it. Bo and I made our weekly trip to the farmers market this morning. We got a few tomatoes, cucumber and of course some beautiful flowers. Our garden is really starting to come alive all of a sudden. We have a few tomatoes (green) and our squash and zuccini is starting to flower. I love this time of the year even though it is so hot outside already. We are looking forward to a great weekend and wish the same for everyone else.

Back to Reality

Today is my first day back traveling for work since November. It was tough leaving this morning but great to know that Buddy will take great care of Bo. I will be back Friday night and I cannot wait for it to get here. I know that they will have fun and will enjoy their time together. Just a quick update on Bo. He has had head cold (bothering me more than him) so I took him to doctor Monday to get it checked out and he weighed in at 19.8 lbs. Hope everyone is having a great week and Happy Hump Day :)

Yay for me...2 days in a row!

I am trying to make it a habit of getting on to post more often but I can't make any promises. Not to much going on around here today other than laying around. Buddy went fishing this morning so me and Bo just played and ran to Wal-Mart to get get a few things. Buddy says he caught a few but he did not bring home any proof! We have been dodging the heat until late in the afternoons the past few days. I guess it is safe to say that summer is here again. Hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoy the last few hours before Monday strikes again :)

Way Behind

The title of this post explains my life in general right now. What is really bad is I don't know what I will do when Bo can move around. We had a great time last weekend visiting our families and friends back home. I always say I am going to take a lot more pictures than I actually end up taking. I have more from Memorial Weekend but they are on Jamie's camera. As you can see in some of the pictures Bo has started sitting up some all by himself. He still does not like the rolling over but maybe that will change soon.
